Madonna became famous for constantly “reinventing” her music and images. She became one of the first female musicians to make a successful career on a major label and not lose their creative or financial control. The singer's clips are an integral part of MTV, adding new themes to the mainstream texts or images of video clips.

Madonna’s songs generally receive positive reviews from music critics, despite the often controversy in the media about the topics covered in them - racism, gender discrimination, religion, politics, sex and violence. Madonna's debut album of the same name was released in 1983 via Sire Records and became the first in a series of successful albums by the author / singer.

Madonna has a record 20 statuette MTV Video Music Awards and 7 Grammy Awardsincluding prestigious nominations for Ray of Light (1998) and Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005) albums, as well as 2 Golden Globes.

Madonna’s recognition of music and cinema is well known - since the late 80s, the media called her “the queen of pop music,” and in 2000, the anti-prize Golden Raspberry called her the worst actress of the 20th century.

Films of the Madonna as a director and screenwriter “Dirt and wisdom” and “WE. We believe in love ”were crushed by critics and received limited rental in cinemas.

Madonna was born on August 16, 1958 in a town on the shore of Lake Huron, Michigan, USA. Mother and namesake of the singer, Madonna Louise Ciccone, francokadanadka, worked as a radiography technician. His father, Silvio Ciccone, an Italian-American, worked as a design engineer for defense Chrysler / General Motors design bureau.

Madonna is the third child in the family, there were six children altogether. The first girl in the family was named after her mother Madonna Louise, this name never changed officially. The name "Veronica" was chosen by Madonna Louise Ciccone at the age of 12 for the traditional Catholic sacrament of anointing and is not official.

Madonna's mother came from the descendants of Jansenists from among the first French settlers, and her piety bordered on fanaticism. Mother played the piano beautifully and sang, but never sought to perform in public.

During the sixth pregnancy, Madonna Ciccone (senior) was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mother adhered to the ideas of the predatican period, who still recognized sex as an immoral act, and abortion as a murder under any conditions. She refused treatment until the end of the pregnancy and died at the age of 30 a few months after the birth of her sixth child.

Madonna’s rejection of the fact that God could allow her mother to die has become an important aspect of the singer’s life and work. Two years later, the widowed father of the family re-married the maid Joan Gustafson - a simple woman and the complete opposite of the first. The first joint child of the couple died, but soon they had two more children. The stepmother took care mainly of her own children, but the father forced all the children to call the woman “mother”, which Madonna never did, considering her father a traitor to the memory of the mother.

The family was fairly well off, but Gustafson brought the Protestant spirit to the family in a total economy of clothes and food — the family ate exclusively from semi-finished products and the children barely wore purchased clothes. By the methods of upbringing, Joan was like an Feldwebel, which further heated the atmosphere in the family. Madonna caused the stepmother a sense of female competition due to the strong external resemblance of the singer with the deceased mother. Madonna was harshly bullied by two older brothers, drug addicts, who fought with her for the attention of her father, which, according to biographers, early set in her aversion to drugs.

The Ciccone family lived in the suburbs of Detroit, where Madonna studied in the Catholic schools of St. Frederick and St. Andrew, and West, was a member of the support team of the basketball team. The singer graduated from high school in a secular school of Rochester Adams, where she participated in theatrical performances and school musicals.

Ciccone studied “excellent”, and the teachers took on the role of the mother in her upbringing. Marilyn Fallows, a teacher of philosophy and Russian history, singer named one of the two most important people of her childhood. Despite the estimates, Ciccone was considered to be the girl’s peers "with greetings", she was not liked for her brilliant performance and the position of her teachers' pet, and the guys were afraid to invite to a date.

At the age of 14, Madonna as a pop lyric was influenced by her friendship with the future recognized poet, Win Cooper, who studied at the same school with her in a higher class. According to Cooper, the girl was shy and a bit detached, avoided society, modestly dressed and especially loved the books of Aldous Huxley and the novel Lady Lover Chatterley.

The key event in Madonna’s childhood is that the performance at the West’s school talent evening at 14 years old is considered. On it, covered with green and pink paint, the actress in top and shorts shocked the audience by performing a dance to the famous song “Baba O" Riley "by The Who group. The reputation of an exemplary girl honored woman suffered hopelessly in the city, and her father put her daughter under house arrest . “The heroine of the day”, brothers and sisters began to tease: “Madonna is a whore”, although it had nothing to do with sex.

From the age of four Madonna Ciccone imitated Shirley Temple dances, but took up ballet for almost 15 years, which was acceptable for jazz-modern choreography. Choreographer Christopher Flynn had the greatest impact on her. Flynn devoted her time and drove the student to classical concerts, exhibitions and, to expand her horizons, to gay clubs. Flynn was gay 30 years older, so her apprentice's love remained unresponsive, but, according to the singer's recollections, this is the only person who understood her. Appearance honors changed in the direction of the sloppy bohemian look, frightening those around.

The biographers Andersen, Taraborelli and Lucy O’Brien draw attention to the fact that although at 14, Madonna had a reputation as a slut, but only at the age of 15 she received her first sexual experience with a 17-year-old Russell Long, which the whole school and father learned about at the request of Chikkone. According to Lucy O’Brien, the fight against stereotypical attitudes towards women according to the “virgin / whore” criterion and the desire to tell others about their love experiences were the main themes of the singer’s work.

Madonna Ciccone graduated from high school in 1976 a few months before the final exams. She continued dance education on a budgetary basis at Ann Arbor University of Michigan, where Flynn was appointed a professor. The choice of a "frivolous" profession made a crack in the relationship between the singer and her father, who wanted to see her daughter as a doctor or lawyer. The father believed that the daughter could find the best use for his excellent certificate, which he successfully passed. iQ test  (data from biographers Christopher Andersen (1991) and Randy Taraborelli (2000) the result of the singer in 17 years showed 140 points) and brilliant teacher recommendations. The right to receive free higher education in the United States is given to units, and Madonna moved to a university dormitory full of hope for her bright future. According to her teachers and colleagues, she had a rare endurance even for a dancer, which additionally developed as a ballet mastery, and subsequently allowed her to suffocate less while performing songs with a simultaneous dance.

According to the memoirs of choreographer Gaia Delang, the young Ciccone was "very slim and light, her dance was infectious." However, in technical terms, the budget Madonna was inferior to many dancers, causing their rejection and envy, and the inability to be absolutely better evoked protest and a desire to further stand out, as far as possible in the ballet class, with torn tights or unwashed short hair. In her free time, Madonna attended Detroit clubs, one of whom met with black drummer Stephen Bray, her future co-author and co-producer.

After a year and a half at the University of Michigan, Madonna got to a master class for the well-known New York choreographer Pearl Lang, and had a dream to get into her group. She left the university and in 1978 moved to New York, hoping in the future to open her own dance studio someday.

After a hard casting, she entered the group Lang, but not in the first part, which did not allow her to pay the rent. The dancer worked in Dunkin ’Donuts, where she burned the donut stove, danced behind the counter, and Burger King, where she didn’t last long, having poured jam on the visitor on the jam. Soon, she debuted on the New York stage in Lang's “I Never Seen Other Butterflies” as a boy from the Jewish ghetto.

Soon Madonna Ciccone began to weaken in the classroom due to malnutrition and Lang arranged for a dancer to work in the evenings for food cloakroom attendant at the restaurant "Russian Samovar". At the same time she moonlighted as a model in an art studio and nude-model photographers. Madonna rented a room in a cheap dangerous area of New York, where she was once orally raped by a knife-armed maniac. After the trauma, Madonna Ciccone became absent-minded in class and stopped believing in her dancing future, even with the Lang troupe - the student of the cult Martha Graham.

Due to the lack of funds to pay for renting, Ciccone began to try out Broadway musicals and dancers. In 1979, at the casting for the dancers for the world tour of the French disco singer Patrick Hernandez, Madonna Ciccone's performance is liked by the Belgian producers, singer Van Le Lieu and Perrelen. Professionals can not help but pay attention to its plasticity and praise her pleasant voice, who sang the Christmas song “Jingle Bells”. To the complete surprise of Madonna, who had not considered herself a singer before, she was invited to Paris, where they promised to make her “something like a dancing Edith Piaf”.

The actress finally abandons the troupe Lang, her lover Dan Gilroy and spends six months with Hernandez's tour in France, Belgium and Tunisia. The producers convince her of the promising career of the singer, but the 20-year-old Madonna is fascinated by punk rock, rebels against the Belgians and did not want to sing the proposed disco-pop material. Six months later, the singer falls ill with pneumonia and after recovery she flies off to New York, succumbing to the letters and persuasions of Gilroy, her boyfriend who was waiting for her in New York. Gilroy has a great influence on the transformation of Madonna Ciccone from a dancer into a musician: she learns to play drums and electric guitar and the basics of composition. After daily lessons on drums under the disc of Elvis, Costello Madonna becomes a pretty cool drummer and she is accepted into the Gilroy Breakfast Club group. A few months later, the drummer begins to “pull the blanket over herself,” offering her own material and leaves the team with the joined guitar player.

In 1979, he acted in the amateur film “The Specific Victim” as a repentant sadomasochist who was raped by a maniac in the toilet. Unsuccessful amateur film was far from pornographic, but with the filing of "sensational" press laid skepticism about Madonna Ciccone as a former pornstar. According to biographers, this has affected her late recognition as a musician. In 1980, together with Michael Monahan and Gary Burke, the singer gathered the quickly disbanded group Madonna And The Sky, and then created the rock band Emmy. Emmy - from Um, diminutive from the first letter of the name Madonna (Madonna Ciccone signed and continues to sign her songs as M. Ciccone). Emmy imitated the early The Pretenders, and Madonna played guitar on the band and sang her own songs. Former boy singer Steven Bray sits on the drums and with him the group of Emmy continues to search for their own direction.

In the spring of 1981, Madonna Ciccone met the owner of the recording studio Gotham Camilla Barbon.  Soon Barbon proposes to become the personal manager of the singer, provided that she leaves the group, and Chikkone immediately agrees. Barbon decides that Madonna will perform without a guitar to give free dance on stage.

Barbon proudly recalls that she was able to see a potential star since she was one of the few female managers in the “male kingdom of show business”. Before meeting with the manager, the singer is in a desperate situation - speaking on stage in men's pajamas, asking for food from oncoming guys, riding only a bicycle and illegally living in a cheap studio.

At first, Madonna awakens a thirty-year-old lesbian Barbon with only motherly feelings: Camilla removes the housing for the ward, makes a salary of $ 100 a week and gives money if necessary. The Chiccone band does several demos and plays in small clubs and at student parties.

Barbon unsuccessfully wins for the singer of a contract with the label, but the bosses of the majors do not want to risk. Barbon sees the new singer, Chrissie Hind, in the singer, but soon begins to abuse alcohol, be jealous of Madonna for everyone and arrange scenes.

Madonna’s drummer, African-American Bray, since the days of Detroit, has hip-hop dance music and asks the singer to record something together. After the main rehearsal, they remain together and compose four songs: “Everybody”, “Ain’t No Big Deal”, “Stay” and “Burning Up”. By that time, Barbon has been offering the singer to labels as a new rock star for a year and a half, and the ward decides to secretly distribute a dance tape with demo tapes at the Dunsteria club in Manhattan, where representatives of labels and the press sometimes drop in.

DJ Mark Marc Kaminsu is impressed with Madonna's demo recording. He takes the cassette and organizes a joint meeting with the head of the island label Chris Blackwell. The meeting ends in failure - Madonna lives with Kamins in a room without hot water with milk boxes instead of furniture and begins to sweat a lot because of the excitement. Kamins is so frustrated with failure and immediately, through his acquaintance Michael Rosenblatt, Chikkone arranges a meeting with the founder of Sire Records Seymour Stein, who immediately signs it, even while lying in hospital with a heart attack. Ciccone becomes simply Madonna (Ciccone is often pronounced as Seacon in English), and Barbon cannot forgive the betrayal of her “little child” and for more than 20 years does not give permission to release the early songs of the singer.

Already in the 2000s, Barbon confesses to his then alcoholism and forgives the offense to Madonna. Barbon highly appreciates her importance in the singer’s life, believing that thanks to her Madonna “didn’t have to sleep with someone to get on stage”, and “although at first there were rumors that someone was investing money in her, eventually she started take it seriously".

All rights to the songs of Madonna before this demo tape belong to the studio “Gotham” and Barbon, and the question arises about what to release a trial single. All the songs on the tape are written together, but friends exchange the rights - 100% of Bray’s authorship for “Ain’t No Big Deal” instead of Madonna’s full rights for “Everybody”. Madonna likes “Everybody”, but Stein wants to release Brain's “Ain’t No Big Deal”, and on the back side is supposed to be “Everybody”.

While the release is being prepared, Bray manages to sell Ain’t No Big Deal to another studio that is recording a new vocalist. There is no time for a new record and Everybody, as Madonna wanted, is released as a single. With a zero budget for the promotion of photo singer decide not to put on the cover, so as not to scare the color audience "Negro disco-soul-singer." “Everybody” rises to 3rd place on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart, and then to 107th place in the main, a little short of reaching Billboard magazine’s first hundred Hot 100. The management considers this an excellent result, given the zero cost of PR, and wants to make sure that “Everybody” is not accidental.

At Madonna’s request, instead of Kamins, a more experienced full-time arranger Warner Bros. is selected. Records Reggie Lucas. The second single "Burning Up" also reaches the third place in the dance hits chart, repeating the success of "Everybody", and after that Madonna is allowed to rent a studio to record the first album.

In July 1983, the debut album titled Madonna.  At first, it remains unnoticed, but during the year it reaches 8th place on the Billboard 200 chart and 6th place on the British chart. The hits are the singles “Borderline” (written by Lucas), “Lucky Star” (written by Madonna and dedicated to retired Kamins) and “Holiday”. Madonna thinks the disc is rather mediocre and is not very happy with the work with Lucas, but after years the disc becomes a post-disco classic.

According to O’Brien, her music on the album sounds like a cross between Pat Benatar and Tina Marie. Madonna is the author of most of the songs on the album, but the main commercial success brings “Holiday” to third-party authors found by the singer’s boyfriend, DJ John “Marmalade” Benitez. This affected the skepticism of Madonna as the author, able to write a hit. The singer has also been subjected to serious criticism for the "girl" vocals and style of performance. Billboard author Paul Grain made a prediction: “Cindy Loper is for a long time, and Madonna will not need anyone in half a year”.

The singer answered the criticism: “People think that if you are sexy, attractive in appearance and excite the public with this, then you simply have nothing more to offer. Only this was my image. Probably, outwardly it looks exactly like this, and I conform to the stereotype, however, I do all this quite consciously. I keep everything under control and wait for it to be understood and confused ".

After recording the album, on the recommendation of Stein, Freddie Demann becomes her manager, who previously worked for. Despite initial criticism, in 2013, Rolling Stone includes this album in the top 100 debut albums of all time. At the moment, Madonna's sales of the album amount to 10 million copies, but this has contributed to a large extent to the popularity of her next disc.

The second album, Like a Virgin, is released in 1984, and for the first time in her career, the singer heads to the US album chart.  The 6-week-long single with the same name remains in the first place of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and the album has a circulation of 26 million worldwide. The hits are “Material Girl”, “Dress You Up”, “Angel” and “Over and Over”. Radiohit name "Material Girl" (Rus. material girl, mercantile girl) is fixed as the nickname of the singer.

In 1984, Madonna performs the “title track” at the first MTV Video Music Awards awards ceremony and breaking the heel, gets out of the situation as follows - begins to kneel and lie on the stage in a wedding dress and belt with the inscription BOY TOY, which shocks the television audience. The song tells about the “metaphysical virginity”, and the video shot in Venice (city of Venus), combines sacral and profane images: Leo is the symbol of the patron saint of the city of Evangelist Mark and the zodiac sign of Madonna Chikkon, Christ the Bride and the modern highly experienced girl in crosses and fescue. "Like a Virgin" is on the list of "200 Signs of All Time" under the auspices of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the USA.

In 1985, the singer was shot in the episode of the film “Visual Search”. The picture soundtrack contains "Crazy For You"second for Madonna single No. 1 in the USA. Later, Madonna appears in the film "Desperate Search for Susan" and this role is critically assessed by critics. In the film, the song “Into The Groove” sounds - the first single for the singer is the number one in the UK, and the author was Madonna Ciccone (with Bray), which gives her a good English press. The first tour of the singer The Virgin Tour is held in the United States in 1985 and the group Beastie Boys performs on the "warm-up". The performances reflect the popularity of the singer at this time: concerts start from the halls for 2000 people, and after 3 months, 22,000 spectators gather in Madison Square Garden. Tour calls “Madonnomumania”: girls dress massively “under Susan / Madonna” from the movie and clips.

In July 1985, Penthouse and Playboy magazines publish black-and-white photographs of nude singer, made in 1979 and subsequently sold by photographer Martin Schreiber. This causes the first scandal in the great career of Madonna Ciccone that has just begun, which threatened her career, with which she personally copes. In the midst of criticism at the Live Aid charity concert, being dressed in several layers of old-fashioned clothes, the singer sees a screaming "Undress!" Crowd. She says that she will not take off her jacket even in the wild heat, because in a few years it can be used against her.

The editorial of The New York Times with the title "" Naked "photos. Madonna: “So what?” Becomes the basis of the picture of the friend of the singer Keith Haring. As soon as the scandal with photographs subsides, in the beginning of August, the Los Angeles Times spreads information that the film “The Specific Victim” (1979) with the participation of the actress is pornographic, which other publications immediately pick up. In October, the newspaper will write a refutation that to the “disappointment of the fans” is not the case. In the summer of 1985, Madonna, on her own birthday, marries actor Sean Penn.  Marriage is accompanied by the invasion of journalists by helicopter during the pronouncement of marriage vows. In his diary, he called this day "the most exciting in life", noting the guests - "a delightful mixture of celebrities and nonentities."

Third True Blue Album  with a dedication to Sean Penn comes out in 1986. Rolling Stone magazine describes it as "sounding from the heart." The record becomes Madonna’s producer debut (with Patrick Leonard) and is the most gingerbread and commercially successful release of the singer. The singer also changes the image and for the first time appears in the Hollywood image seductive blue-eyed blonde. The album includes the sign for the singer ballad "Live to Tell", written for the film "Point blank". “Live to Tell” becomes Madonna’s first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 as the author.

Three songs from the album fall on the first line of Billboard: “Live to Tell”, “Papa Don’t Preach”, “Open Your Heart”, and the top five includes “True Blue” and “La Isla Bonita”. In the same year, the song “Each Time You Break My Heart” by Madonna / Bray performed by Nick Kamena heads the British chart, delivering Madonna’s much-desired recognition as a successful songwriter.

Madonna - La Isla Bonita

In 1987, Madonna was hospitalized for x-rays after being hit on the head with a baseball bat.  The press is awaiting trial, but the singer does not sue for domestic violence, as her husband Sean Penn is already waiting for a two-month sentence for fighting and driving while intoxicated.

Because of the aggressive behavior of “Mr. Madonna” towards journalists and his wife in the press, they are beginning to be called “evil Pennies” and S & M (Sean & Madonna) is a hint of sadomasochistic relationships in a family of celebrities. In the same year, the singer starred in the film “Who is this girl?”, Which fails miserably. However, the success of the soundtrack to the film is great - the title composition of the same name becomes the number 1 hit in the US and the UK. The New York Times magazine calls the film the worst film of the year. In the same year goes on the tour Who’s That Girl World Tour, which fully compensates for the negative effect of the failed film. Criticism praises performances for theatricality and the "transformation of a rock concert into a multimedia spectacle."

Reviewers write that the concerts are like a circus, where the heroine masterfully demonstrates the skills of entertainer, acrobat and clown. The projection on the stage of Tamara Lempitski’s picture “The Musician” (1928) shows a brightly painted woman with long nails, who holds the lyre against the background of New York skyscrapers, and becomes a characteristic of Madonna’s entire work for many years. According to the authoritative musical critic Lucy O'Brien, Madonna is an urbanized mix of high art with glamor and vulgarity, where she is both a muse and a creator and a sexy woman. By August 1987, Penn is released from prison early and in December Madonna is the first filed papers for divorce, but suddenly takes them two weeks later.

In 1988, the singer will debut on Broadway in the production of "Stir"with an obvious desire to improve acting reputation. The performance receives rave reviews, but Madonna herself receives negative comments from almost all critics and is disappointed in the benefits of her husband's recommendations for her acting career. During rehearsals, Madonna begins to be friends with the actress and the open lesbian Sandra Bernhard, causing misunderstandings to the public.

The singer and Bernhard in the same clothes appear on the David Letterman show, which entails publications about bisexuality of the singer. The final separation from her husband occurs in December 1988 after the brutal beatings described in the official record of the detention of Sean Penn. The marriage of the singer and Penn officially ends in January 1989 and the singer takes her statement to the police, keeping friendly relations with her husband because of her hereditary problems with alcohol. In 2003, Penn first spoke about Madonna in an interview with Oprah Winfrey: “She became the greatest star. I just wanted to make a movie and not attract unnecessary attention. I was an embittered young man, so many demons lived in me that I didn’t even know who could tolerate me then. ”.

In early 1989, Madonna signed a contract with Pepsi, according to which her new song "Like a Prayer"  debuts in advertising company. The commercial is harmless and shows the singer's childhood, but the video for the song contains an anti-racist plot and many Catholic symbols, including stigmata and burning crosses. Ambiguous relationship of the heroine of the Madonna with the revived statue of the black saint is shocking viewers and provoking public organizations. The company withdraws the advertisement from the rotation and terminates the contract, but the singer gets a relying amount of five million dollars. Representatives of the Vatican condemn the video, and some cardinals threaten Madonna with excommunication, but this remains a threat. The song is named the British weekly New Musical Express 3rd best in pop history, VH1 put the clip in 2nd place.

The fourth album Like a Prayer is released at the end of 1989.  and becomes a turning point in the career of Madonna. Like a Prayer is written and produced in collaboration with Patrick Leonard and Stephen Bray. The singer is producing the second album in a row and obviously her desire to prove that the success of True Blue was not an accident. Rolling Stone magazine describes the album as "... as close to art as pop music can be" and includes in the list of the "500 best albums of all time." Leonard calls him "divorce" because of the singer's depression because of the painful separation from Sean Penn. The song "Express Yourself" becomes a feminist "call to arms"  with “preaching self-esteem,” representing the transition from reflection to action. The theme of the other songs is expected to be domestic violence (“Till Death Do Us Parts”), nostalgia for lost relationships with brothers and sisters (“Keep It Together”), dreams about a child (“Dear Jessie”). All the songs of the album Like a Prayer are written by Madonna, which makes the album the most personal, since on the previous discs there were one or two songs by third-party authors.

Madonna - Like A Prayer

In 1990, Madonna's Dick Tracy and the soundtrack for it entitled I’m Breathless was released for hire. The director of the film was Warren Beatty, who received a refusal from the singer to offer to marry after a year of relationships. I’m Breathless contains songs by the famous composer Stephen Sondheim and the author duo Madonna-Leonard. The singer for the first time enters the territory of a jazz and Broadway musical, which critics regard as ambiguous. The most successful of I’m Breathless is Vogue, topping the main charts. Recitative “ladies with an attitude; fellows that were in the mood ... "written by Madonna on the plane as an illustration of the 30s, but becomes a characteristic of modernity. In Russia, it is known as the epigraph to the first chapter of the book “Duhless”. The name of the book is the partially translated name of Madonna’s character from the film “Breathless”.

The Blond Ambition World Tour is held in 1990 in support of the albums Like A Prayer and I’m breathless. Rolling Stone praises the tour for the innovative interweaving of theater, ballet, cinema and a concert at a stage unprecedented for its time. The central idea of the show about the comparison of masturbation and religious frenzy results in a call for a boycott of the singer's performance in Rome.

Madonna is trying to defend herself on the spot, giving an excellent speech at the airport Leonardo Da Vinci: "My show is a theatrical play inviting the audience on an emotional journey ... I don’t impose my own ideas on how to live, I’m just describing my understanding of life to the audience and let them evaluate everything themselves."  The singer avoids being excommunicated, but the concert is canceled due to low ticket sales. For the concert video of the tour, the singer gets her first Grammy, but she herself does not consider the award a recognition of her work, since the nomination for the video is secondary.

In the same year, the singer once again shocked the public with a video for the song "Justify My Love". Videos are banned from being shown on television due to the presence of erotic scenes. “Justify My Love” serves as a pretext for several scandals, the first of which is associated with plagiarism. Madonna uses the text of her letter, Ingrid Chavez, the then friend of the co-producer of the song Lenny Kravitz, not wanting the audience to refer him to the fantasies of another woman. Chicago Sun-Times denounces the singer with the words “unprecedented meanness” of the theft of a song.

Madonna justifies and rewrites the song, replacing the text with quotations from Revelation, but immediately receives accusations of anti-Semitism, which also have to be rejected. The unwritten text “Justify My Love” about the desire to make love and scandals affect the singer's pride and author's vanity, making a qualitative leap in Madonna’s creative search, for the first time bringing her into the territory “for adults”.

In 1991, Sondheim's song “Sooner or Later” from “Dick Tracy” won the Academy Award and performed by Madonna at the ceremony in the form. From that moment on, the singer is called the new Marilyn and begins to be compared with the late sex symbol, immediately predicting the same unenviable fate. A documentary film about the last tour comes out in the same year and is called "Madonna: Truth or Dare". Fragment with a joke / bravado "Madonna with a bottle" outside the context of the game for parties (to tell the truth or accept the challenge), reminiscent of forfeits, contributes to the perception of the singer in the context of pornography. Outside the United States and Canada (the countries where the game was popular) distributors start a tape under a different name - "In bed with Madonna"which does not reflect the content, but the singer has no right to change, although she admits that she “hates him because of his stupidity”. The film falls into the top ten most profitable documentary films of all time, and the New York Times calls the picture "a smart, daring, bright self-portrait."

In 1992, Madonna starred in the film "Their Own League" in the role of a baseball player with a telling name May Mordabito. For the film, she records the song “This Used to Be My Playground”, which became No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the same year, Madonna founded her own entertainment company, Maverick, a joint venture with Time Warner. The deal provides for the singer's record royalties on a par with Michael Jackson.

In 1992 he published the photo album "Sex".  "Sex" contains illustrated sexual fantasies of her alter ego "Mrs. Dita", talking to a psychoanalyst. The book is framed in a metal cover as an art object and is intended as a manifesto. “Sex” was sold in 1.5 million copies only in America and causes a flurry of negative reaction in the media and the society scared of AIDS.

In the press, they arrange a multi-page funeral for Madonna’s career, finding that she’s gone too far. The book "Sex" touches upon the themes of masturbation, and draws a clear parallel between sadomasochism and religious self-flagellation, and also contains an ironic attitude to taboo. Lesbians felt that the singer scoffs at their movement, depicting one of them, and called her "sexual tourist." French journalist Francoise Tournier wrote: “Having reached the essence of“ Sex ”, as if having found a poisonous mushroom, you understand that the one who is called the“ new baby Piaf ”is driven more by the thirst for money than by the thirst for sex”.

“Sex” and a violent reaction to it in society has become the topic of many scientific studies and is considered the most powerful vaccination of a society striving for voyeurism from a celebrity / musician prone to exhibitionism. The book is a few years is the most wanted from no longer published. After the release of "Sex" with a singer broke off an 8-month relationship boyfriend Vanilla Ice, allegedly did not expect publication in the book of his photos.

In 1992, the fifth studio album Erotica. Erotica ranks second on the American charts, and the title single is third on the Billboard Hot 100. In the release year, Erotica was coolly received by critics and listeners because of the “shadow of the book”, but later it is considered one of the strongest works by the singer. The singles “Erotica”, “Rain”, “Deeper and Deeper”, “Bad Girl” and “Fever” (a cover version of Elvis Presley's song) do not have such success in charts as the previous works of the singer.

In 1993, without release in cinemas, the movie “Dangerous Game” directed by Ferrara with Madonna in the lead role immediately appeared on video. The New York Times calls the picture "wicked and painful, where pain seems to be real."

“Dangerous Game” contains the story of Sarah / Madonna about the actual rape in 1978.  Erotic thriller with a singer "The body as evidence" (1993)  contains scenes of sadomasochism with binding and fails with critics and distributors. The press cultivates the opinion that the singer is a sex maniac, the embodiment of sin, who makes a career solely through the bed.

The 1993 tour of The Girlie Show in Europe and South America (instead of the United States and Canada) contains more burlesque, irony and clowning than erotica, which softens the negative after the release of the book “Sex”, the Erotica album and movie stars. A concert in Puerto Rico causes pickets: a uniformed singer, in response to the whistle of the public at the appearance of a huge American flag, conducts Puerto Rican in the crotch area. The episode was interpreted ambiguously due to the numerous romantic hobbies of the singer Puerto Ricans, and later underwent a scrupulous analysis as an example of the mutual influence of Latin American culture and the United States.

The sixth studio album Bedtime Stories comes out in 1994 and becomes its first Grammy-nominated CD.  The hits are Secret, Take a Bow, Bedtime Story and Human Nature. The Babyface / Madonna's song “Take a Bow” becomes No. 1 of the American Billboard Hot 100, but breaks a record series of 32 consecutive hits in the Top 10 of the UK singles chart.

The singer changes her style towards R'n'B and hip-hop, and for the first time since Like A Virgin began working with major producers - Dallas Austin, David Foster, Dave Hall (who worked with Mariah Carey) and Marius De Fries and Nelli Hooper ( working with bjork). “Bedtime Story”, the word of which is written by the already recognized Bjork, becomes an important milestone. Madonna perfectly masters the “Bjork text architecture” and lays the foundation for her next albums in it. Relations with rapper Tupac Shakur end for a racist reason - his friends "could not believe that he was walking with a white girl."

The singer begins a short relationship with basketball player Denis Rodman. A year after breaking up, he writes a bestseller with a whole chapter about sex with Madonna. According to Lucy O'Brien, during the sucking up of this story in the press, it became obvious that Madonna, who wants to have a child, starts a relationship with unsuitable men, which is detrimental to her career.

In 1995, the song “You" ll See "from the ballads album Something to Remember. The album reminds the public a little of Madonna’s talent as a songwriter and producer, which the press did not pay attention to in the background of scandals. her career began to speak more honestly and fairly. " In 1996, the singer starred in the film adaptation of the musical Andrew Lloyd Webber "Evita"where he performs the songs of the soundtrack. For the recording, Madonna first starts taking vocal lessons from Joan Laeder, which brings her own results. On the Evita soundtrack, she demonstrates her upper register and diaphragm singing for the first time. The pro film, the controversial wife of the Argentine President, receives positive reviews from film critics and author Andrew Lloyd Webber. Weber gets an Oscar for Madonna's “You Must Love Me”. Song "Don" t Cry For Me Argentina "  becomes a hit Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart, and the singer gets a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a comedy or musical.

In October 1996, Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Maria Ciccone-León is born.  The girl’s father is the then boyfriend of the Cuban fitness trainer and aspiring actor Carlos Leon. Seven months after the birth of their daughter, they part, and Madonna incurs the wrath of social organizations "for a full family" and accusations of "pregnancy with the purpose of advertising the film." The singer baptizes a girl in Catholicism and named after the city of Lourdes in France, which she dreamed of visiting her extremely religious mother. During pregnancy, the singer delves into yoga, the study of Buddhism and Kabbalah, which is described as a "physics lesson, a bridge between science and spirituality," and not as a religious teaching.

The seventh studio album by singer Ray of Light (1998)  reflected the "spiritual rebirth" of the singer and became decisive in all her work. The direction of its development was influenced by motherhood, a philosophical rethinking of reality and a romance with the English scriptwriter and actor Andy Bird (born Andy Bird). The album received the approval of critics, and in the authoritative music publication Slant Magazine was named "one of the greatest pop masterpieces of the 90s."

The CD was included in the list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and took the 28th place in the 100 Best Albums of the 1990s, according to Rolling Stone magazine. The release was accompanied by commercial success: the album headed the national charts of Australia, Canada, the UK and most European countries, and in the US finished on the second line of the Billboard 200, giving first place to the soundtrack for the film “Titanic”.

Around the world, Ray of Light has sold more than 16 million copies. Single album "Frozen" the first since Vogue (1990) in the singer's discography reached number one on the UK chart. In the US, the song reached the second line of the Billboard Hot 100, where Madonna set a record for the largest number of singles that reached second place. On the disc, the singer "carefully looked into the past and thought a lot about the mystical side of life." After Ray Of Light in Madonna again saw a progressing musician. Evaluating the work, the singer tried in every way to extol the "ingenious" producer of the album William Orbit, but he himself considered his contribution to "her" album rather modest. According to the established tradition of a condescending attitude towards pop authors / performers, critics have attributed the success of the record to Orbit. Ray of Light was awarded a Grammy  (including in one of the main nominations "The Best Pop Album").

Madonna - Frozen

The hits were “The Power Of Good-Bye”, “Nothing Really Matters”, “Drowned World / Substitute for Love” and the title track “Ray of Light”. The video for Ray of Light last received 6 MTV Video Music Awards in 1999. Madonna's performance at the ceremony with a song in Shanti / Ashtangi in Sanskrit "Ray of Light"  in Indian dress with a dot on his forehead, symbolizing devotion to God, provoked protests of the country's Hindu organizations and accusations of blasphemy.

The singer’s image was influenced by her passion for the book “Memoirs of a Geisha”.  In the same 1999, she released the single “Beautuful Stranger” (a Russian fine foreigner), written for the soundtrack for the film “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Seduced Me”. The song became a big hit outside the US and brought Madonna another Grammy for "the best song written for the feature film." The relationship of the singer with Andy Bird, described in this song "beautiful foreigner," lasted about a year. In the summer of 1998, accompanied by him, she attended the party of Sting and his wife Trudy Styler, where she met Guy Richie, her future husband and father of her second child. Richie was not free to meet with model Tanya Streker, and a romantic relationship with the singer arose a year later, and their development included a public scuffle in the bar between Richie and Bird. This story later became the basis of Robbie Williams' She's Madonna song (2006).

In 2000, the film starred Madonna starring "Best Friend", for which she recorded the hit "American Pie"  and the ballad "Time Stood Still". These songs ended the era of the Ray of Light album. In early 2000, became pregnant by working on the film "Big Jackpot" Guy Ritchie and was forced to move to his office in London to record an album. In August 2000, their son Rocco was born.

In September 2000, the eighth studio album Music was released.  The disc received accolades from critics and became No. 1 in both the UK and the USA, repeating the success of Like a Prayer (1989). Under the influence of co-author and co-producer of the disc, Mirwe completely changed the sound and began to use vocoder for the first time. Three singles were released from Music: Music, “Don’t Tell Me” and “What It Feels Like for a Girl”. The video for What It Feels Like for a Girl was banned from being shown on MTV and VH1 due to scenes of cruelty. For the album, the singer chose the grotesque image of cowboy, expressing an ironic attitude towards America from a London resident.

December 22, 2000 married Richie, the former stepson of the baronet, which automatically ranked the singer to the English aristocracy. The wedding in the Scottish castle was held in the Presbyterian rite. Soon Madonna became a subject of Great Britain. "Delan" British accent native of Michigan became the subject of irritation of the Americans and the irony of the British. This has taken root in the spoken language with the expressions “Madonna syndrome” and “Madge complex”. Life on the estate of the Ashtscom Wiltshire village influenced the mood of the subsequent works and attitudes towards the United States.

In 2001, for the first time in 8 years, the singer resumed touring, and a sold-out world tour of the Drowned World Tour took place.  Concerts received positive reviews from critics, despite the grim drama. After the September 11 attacks, Madonna expelled from the show a moment of firing a gun at a samurai, who was trying to cut off her head according to the plot. For the first time since the early 1980s, the singer began to accompany the guitar, and was nominated for the Orvil Gibson Award.

At the end of 2001, the James Bond single “Die, but Not Now” was released under the same name. "Die Another Day". For her episodic role in the film, the singer received the Golden Raspberry, in addition to the title of the Worst Millennium Actress. The song received a nomination for Golden Globe in the category “Best Original Song” and “Golden Raspberry” as the “Worst Song”. Film "Gone"  was crushed by criticism and released in the UK immediately on DVD. At the moment this is the last picture of the Madonna as an actress.

The ninth album American Life was released in 2003 and led the charts the US and UK. American Life was written and produced by Madonna in collaboration with Mirwe in the concept of minimalism. American Life quickly lost ground and became the most successful sales career at the time. The album caused mixed reviews from critics because of the topic of debunking the “American dream” in the wake of the 9/11 war in Afghanistan. Later was rated more highly. In addition to “Die Another Day” (2002), the singles are “American Life”, “Hollywood”, “Love Profusion”, “Nothing Fails”.

In France, it was a great success because of the pacifist mood, since this country did not participate in the operation against the Taliban. In the video for the title track, there was a parody of American President George Bush and his kiss with Saddam Hussein. After the accusations of lack of patriotism, a ban on playing new songs by Madonna on American republican radio stations followed. A week before the release, she said that "there is no better time for a pacifist clip than a time of war." At the last moment, she recalled the clip, declaring “unwillingness to embarrass people whose relatives are fighting in Afghanistan,” which did not affect the ban.

In September 2003, Madonna Ciccone made her debut in children's literature with an English Roses picture book, topping the best-selling list of The New York Times. Suddenly, Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller shared his positive opinion on the book, calling it “more than just a fairy tale for children” in the newspaper Rzeczpospolita. Madonna’s speech at the MTV ceremony provoked a scandal. The singer appeared in the suit of the groom, and Christina Aguilera played the role of brides. The French kiss with Spears caused a scandal in the press because of a hint of lesbianism.  The singer was justified by the consistency of the kiss in the performed stage images.

In 2004, there was a world tour of the Re-Invention World Tour in support of American Life. Unlike the Drowned World Tour, it contained a fair amount of old hits in a new sound besides the songs from the new album. The speeches provoked a mixed reaction from critics due to the general politicization and open support of Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 film. During the tour, the second documentary “I’m going to tell you a secret” was shot. The film was made in the style of “In bed with Madonna”, but showed the singer's fascination with “Zohar” and the touching relationship with her children and her husband Guy Ritchie. A DVD with a film and a concert album of the same name was released a year later. According to Lucy O'Brien, the film began to merge with the image of the righteous woman.

In 2005, Madonna Ciccone had an accident at an estate in Wiltshire. New horse unsuccessfully threw the singer to the ground during the first ride. Before the accident in the village of Madonna, she fully merged with the role of the English aristocratic (by her husband), hermit's wife and mother of the family. In addition to the British accent and riding, she began to drink ale in local pubs, she learned to fish. The singer began to hunt for pheasants, although before that she was a vegetarian, for which she was put on the black list of PETA.

After the horse "played polo" as a singer, she lost consciousness and regained consciousness with multiple fractures. After that, the singer internally changed and outwardly lost weight. The album was named Confessions on a Dance Floor returned to Madonna the leading position in almost all the charts, as well as the title of queen of the dance floor. This happened not least due to the mega-hit "Hung Up", written on the basis of the sample of the Abba group. Madonna Ciccone wrote and produced the record with her long-time sound engineer and keyboard player Stuart Price. Due to the lack of rotation of Madonna’s new songs in the USA since the American Life scandal, the singer’s birthplace became one of the few countries where the single “Hung Up” did not become number 1, but only ranked 7th.

During the subsequent tour, another scandal took place, according to Lucy O. Brian, caused by the experience of the nearness of death in connection with a fall from a horse. It was the performance of the classic ballad “Live To Tell” a la Jesus Christ with a crown of thorns on a mirror cross accompanied by video of children suffering in Africa and quotations from Matthew 25:40 At the end of the number, the addresses of donation sites for sick African children were shown. This speech caused questions and anger among activists of social movements who quickly disappeared due to races video spaces via the Internet, statements of the singer and the meaning of the song itself.

All tickets for the tour's concerts were sold out, except for the first concert of the singer in Moscow, where the Russian Orthodox Church called on believers to boycott the performance, calling it “blasphemous.” At the end of the tour, the singer and husband adopted a one-year-old child from Malawi, David Banda. This caused another scandal and a wave of protests against the “purchase” of a child, since the laws of Malawi at that time, despite the 1 million orphans in the country, did not allow foreign citizens to adopt. In the same year, Madonna Ciccone produced and voiced the author’s offscreen text of a documentary film about the disastrous state of affairs in the African country of Malawi called “I am because we are”, which was shown at the 2008 Tribeca festival.

In 2007, Madonna Ciccone began to master the new profession of a film director, writing a script for a partly autobiographical film-parable. "Dirt and wisdom". In the film, the hero tries to unleash his rock band, while earning a living, beating masochists for money, and dressing in. “Dirt and Wisdom” with Yevgeny Gudzem in the lead role came to the Berlin Film Festival in the program “Panorama”, where it was coolly received by critics. The critics were positively noted by the music of the gypsy folk-punk-rock band Gogol Bordello and the presence of the main character, who brought a Russian language to the British non-commercial picture.

The eleventh album Hard Candy was released in early 2008 and topped the charts of 37 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. To work on Hard Candy Madonna Ciccone turned to the main hit makers of the second half of the 2000s: Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Farrell Williams. The singer explained the reason for the change of style with interest to these artists and a desire to learn from the new generation. The singer admitted that she wanted to reclaim the love of American radio listeners, whom she lost with the 2003 anti-war album. The album received mixed reviews from critics for the lack of originality inherent in previous works, and some crisis of the singer herself, reflected on the provocative cover of the album, sharply contrasting with the style of “Ray of Light”.

The first single of the album was a duet with Timberlake 4 Minutes. Song 4 Minutes only partly met expectations, becoming a radio hit and Madonna’s most successful single in the States since Don Don t Tell Me (2001), but it never became No. 1 in the United States due to the small rotation on the radio, despite record The sale was her record-breaking 13th single No. 1 in the UK The hit in Europe was the song “Give It 2 Me”, performed with Farrell Williams.

The tour in support of the album was called Sticky and Sweet Tour and did not contain any provocative material. Sticky and Sweet Tour broke the success record for a solo artist, previously set by Madonna herself with the previous Confessions Tour. The book of the homosexual singer Christopher Ciccone's book “Life with my sister Madonna”, published against her will in early 2008, showed Guy Ritchie as an obvious homophobic and slippery type who manipulates his sister. During the tour in October 2008, the singer announced her divorce from her husband. On June 12, 2009, the singer adopted the Malawian girl Mercy James, the desire to adopt which is considered the main reason for the divorce of Madonna with her husband, who had three children. The singer for the first time in her career decided to extend the tour until the summer of 2009.

In 2009, the release of the third collection of the best songs of the Madonna. Celebrationwho ended the singer's relationship with Warner Bros. In the video for the song “Celebration”, singer’s model model Jesús Luz appeared. In 2010, Madonna exclusively gave Khor TV series the rights to the entire catalog of her songs. In April 2010, the episode "The Power of Madonna" was released. The episode was approved by the singer, and the soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 album chart.

In 2010, Madonna Ciccone opened a network of her own fitness clubs, named after her album Hard Candy. In 2010, Madonna Ciccone, together with her daughter Lourdes Leon, launched the brand of youth clothing Material Girl. At the presentation of the collection Madonna Ciccone met Brahim Zebah, the breakdancer of Pokemon Crew who spoke at the event, who for 3 years became the singer's boyfriend and also starred in her music video.

In December 2011, the movie “WE. Believe in love "where Madonna Ciccone directed and directed the script. The film received devastating criticism, but the game Andrea Riseborough in the role of Wallis Simpson and the soundtrack for the film elicited enthusiastic comments. The continuation of the “Russian” theme in the second picture of Madonna was noted: the main character is named Eugene and he is depicted as an intelligent positive character.

In early 2012, Madonna’s “Masterpiece” song from the film “We. Believe in love "was recognized as the best at the Golden Globe Award ceremony.

Madonna - Masterpiece

February 5, 2012 Madonna spoke at the break of the 46th Super Bowl, which was broadcast on NBC. She sang a potpourri on “Vogue”, “Music”, “Open Your Heart”, “Express Yourself”, “Like a Prayer” and a new song “Give Me Your Your Luvin’ ”with Niki Minaj, M.I.A. and the LMFAO group. Madonna’s play and performance have become the most watched TV show in US history. Patriotic critics noted that the singer improperly sneered at the "sacredness" of the Super Bowl for the Americans, using the images of the goddess Isis / Cleopatra performed by Elizabeth Taylor. In the US, the new single set the top 10 record for a solo artist, beating an achievement. In the UK, the single failed.

MDNA's twelfth album was released on March 26, 2012 and topped the charts in the US and the UK. Critics considered the record a grim album of a painful divorce, and The Telegraph called it “the last success” due to Madonna’s lack of progress as a songwriter. The video for the second single, Girl Gone Wild, has been subject to a censorship ban due to explicit scenes. The disc without promotion in support was the worst sales in the career of the singer.

The MDNA Tour began on May 31 and became the most successful 2012 tour. Concerts caused a public outcry in the United States due to the use of imitation weapons on stage. Billboard once again called Madonna record holder in the music industry - $ 34.6 million per year. In 2013, Madonna won 3 Billboard Music Awards. In August 2013, Forbes magazine named the singer the leader of the year in celebrity income with a salary of $ 125 million.

On September 24, Madonna released the 17-minute short film “Secret Project Project Revolution,” performing at the premiere a cover version of Elliott Smith's song “Between the Bars”. The film was declared as a human rights and was the result of Madonna’s collaboration with the photographer Stephen Klein. At the same time, the “secretprojectrevolution” in HD and 2K format was officially uploaded for free download after registering on the “Bundle” site BitTorrent. The film became the first project in the framework of the joint action of Madonna and “VICE” entitled “ArtForFreedom” (Russian Art for Freedom). The film was accompanied by the launch of Madonna’s journal of the same name on the Flipboard service.

In December 2014, there was an unexpected leak of 13 demo versions of songs on the Internet that were recorded while working on Madonna’s thirteenth studio album. The actress was furious with what happened, leaving a few formidable messages to the pirates later. A few days after the leak, December 20, Madonna officially announced the thirteenth longplay, called Rebel Heart. In connection with the pre-order of the album, six of the 19 possible songs became available, including the lead single “Living for Love”. The release of the album took place on March 10, 2015.

In the presidential election of 2016, she supported her distant relative -. Two weeks before the election, she announced the performance of stand-up comedian Amy Schumer, known in the USA for her low-profile jokes. Chikkone joked that she would make a blowjob to anyone who voted for Clinton.

On January 21, 2017, during a speech at the mass rally “Women's March”, Madonna twice used foul language to address the opponents of the rally. In the subsequent speech with the songs “Express Yourself” and “Human Nature”, she changed the line of the latter into a curse addressed to the 45th President, with whom she had been in open hostility since the early 1990s. The singer was criticized for mate and expressed aloud "anti-patriotic" reflections on the explosion of the White House. Prosecution was not followed because of the general context of the speech, in which she also quoted the Anglo-American poet Oden.

Since September 2017, Madonna moved to permanent residence in Lisbon, where her adopted son David Banda successfully passed the selection to the football academy of Benfica FC.

Madonna Louise Ciccone  (eng. Madonna Louise Ciccone) - American singer, songwriter, producer, dancer, writer, actress, film director, screenwriter, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Born August 16, 1958 in the city of Bay City in the Midwest USA. Moving to New York   in 1978  for the sake of a career in a dance troupe, Madonna first became a member of rock bands, and then a successful solo singer and songwriter.

The artist has a record 20 statuettes MTV Video Music Awards and 7 Grammy awards, including in the prestigious nominations for the albums Ray of Light (1998) and Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). The singer has many records of charts and hits, which reached the first place of the main musical charts, among which the most successful songs were “Like a Virgin” (1984), “La Isla Bonita” (1986), “Like a Prayer” (1989), “Vogue (1990), Frozen (1998), Music (2000), Hung Up (2005) and 4 Minutes (2008).

The singer is considered the most commercially successful performer in the history of the Guinness Book of Records with 275 million confirmed licensed sales. Time included the singer in the list of “25 women of the last century with the greatest power”, assessing her influence on modern music. The singer is also the best-selling 20th century rock singer according to the American Recording Industry Association and the second best selling female singer in the United States with 64.5 million certified album sales. Billboard recognized the singer as the most successful artist in the entire history of recording among solo singers and singers. According to the NY Post, the singer's condition on year 2013more than $ 1 billion, but according to Forbes magazine, this figure is a bit overpriced and does not take into account the fifty percent tax. The singer’s concert tour of 2008–09 Sticky & Sweet Tour ranks first in terms of earnings among solo performers in history. Madonna’s recognition of music and cinema is well known - since the late 80s, the media have called her “the queen of pop music”, and in 2000 year  antipremia Golden raspberry called her the worst actress of the 20th century. The singer has 1 Oscar award for the song “I Always Get My Man” in the movie “Dick Tracy”, 2 Golden Globe awards for her role in the musical “Evita” and for the authorship of the song “Masterpiece”. Films of the Madonna as a director and screenwriter “Dirt and wisdom” and “WE. We believe in love ”were crushed by critics and received limited rental in cinemas.

born August 16, 1958  in a town on the shore of Lake Huron, Michigan, USA. Mother and namesake of the singer, Madonna Louise Ciccone, francokadanadka, worked as a radiography technician; his father, Silvio Ciccone, an Italian-American, worked as a design engineer for the Chrysler / General Motors defense bureau.

On it, covered in green and pink paint, the actress in top and shorts shocked the audience by performing a dance to the famous song “Baba O" Riley "by The Who group. The reputation of an exemplary girl honored woman suffered hopelessly in the city, and the father put her daughter under house arrest “The heroine of the day", brothers and sisters were teased: "Madonna is a whore", although this was not related to sex. From four years old Madonna Ciccone imitated Shirley Temple dances, but took up ballet for almost 15 years, which was acceptable for jazz choreography -modern ballet master Ristofer Flynn had the greatest influence on her. Flynn devoted her time and led the student to classical concerts, exhibitions and, to broaden her horizons, to gay clubs. Flynn was gay 30 years older, so the student’s love remained unresponsive, but, according to the singer , this is the only person who understood her. The appearance of the honors pupil has changed towards a sloppy bohemian look that frightens others. Biographers Andersen, Taraborelli and Lucy O'Brien pay attention to the fact that although at the age of 14 Madonna had a reputation as a slut about 15 years old she had her first sexual experience with a 17-year-old Russell Long, what to feed the whole school knew Ciccone and father.

The father believed that the daughter could find the best use for his excellent certificate, which successfully passed the IQ test (according to biographers Christopher Andersen (1991) and Randy Taraborelli (2000), the result of the singer at the age of 140 showed 140 points) and brilliant recommendations from teachers.
