Composition based on Rylov's painting “House with a Red Roof. Description of Rylov's painting "House with a red roof. Several interesting works

A bright sunny day, the rich colors of the picturesque Russian nature of the Moscow Region and a cozy house with a red roof poured onto the canvas of the famous Russian landscape painter Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich, who presented the world with a picture called "House with a Red Roof".

On the canvas, in the distance behind tall, slender Russian beauties, birch trees can be seen an old house, the roof of which shimmers with a juicy cherry hue, and the walls are made in light colors. Also on the roof you can see snow-white chimneys like snow. The roof itself is the central element of the picture; it stands out against the background of a sultry sunny afternoon and greenery of not yet completely dried grass and foliage.

The house is surrounded by a variety of greenery: trees and shrubs, wildflowers and tall grass that lay, covering the ground from the light waves of the scythe. The grass is starting to take on a yellow tint, it looks like this area has not had a refreshing summer rain for a long time. In front of us there is a wide meadow, which is covered with fresh cut grass, I can smell it right now. I am filled with the energy of that sunny summer day.

It seems that not far from the house there is a mighty forest with tall dark green spruces and pines that enchant others with their aromas. The author depicted them filled with greenery and rising to the very clouds, as if they were blowing cool, just what is needed on a hot summer day. Under the cover of forest wealth, you can find a cozy place to relax after a fruitful day in the meadow.

The picture depicts the sky in a special way, the clouds "fall" on the roof of the house, as if covering it from adversity. And when you raise your head up, the wide endless sky absorbs you into memories of the past and inspires wonderful feelings of peace of mind and inspiration. Probably, this was the inspiration for the author of the picture.

Next to a girl in a snow-white outfit and light brown hair, who is collecting mowed grass in a meadow near the house, is her faithful friend - a dog. She carefully observes all the movements of the hostess and faithfully waits until she finishes the work and goes with her to the house. I was always amazed at how faithful the dogs are to their owners, they understand a lot and even know how to be offended, but they are waiting, they can spend hours.

Description of the picture

I really like this picture, because everything is beautiful on it. Such a great feeling of spring-summer, so much space: blue sky, fresh greenery. And if not for the name, then it seems to me that the house might not have been noticed. (Although, of course, it takes up a fair amount of space.)

In the foreground is a woman and, in my opinion, a dog. A woman in light, light clothing. It seems to me that the picture is not very hot, but just nice and warm. The heroine has in her hands some kind of rural wooden "inventory" ... What a rake? She works. And the dog is looking at something or someone ahead. Perhaps someone has come there, but the dog does not yet understand whether to rush towards him joyfully or bark viciously. A cute dog, by the way. Probably, guests will soon come to the village for the summer, so the hostess cleans up, and the dog is waiting.

There are three trees above the worker. One - something like an apple tree, so low and spreading. Above - two birches, like twins. They are three times taller than this garden tree.

On the right, there is still a forest with fir trees and some kind of deciduous trees. (I don’t know, but this is not an essay on botany.) Such a beautiful sky here with large white clouds. I would like to be in this picture. Let it be a dog waiting for me, but it, of course, will not offend me, but will happily jump around me. I could help the woman with what she does ... And after that we would have had tea in the courtyard - on the veranda. They would put a samovar on, she would treat me to a pie. Childhood dreams, but you get so tired of this study ...

I wonder why the roof of the house is red. It is smart and noticeable. Surely, people called this house that way, forgetting about the number and the street. The roof is the main difference. But, by the way, it's pretty in itself - clean, light, with a white pipe. The windows are so welcoming.

It seems to me that this house (with the owner and the dog) is still waiting for guests. Surely, the hostess has already done everything, she has already gone out to clean the street, but she hopes to see when the guests show up. I would like to be expected in such a house in the summer. Even just for an hour - to drink tea.

Arkady Alexandrovich Rylov - born on January 17, 1870. Graduated from the Academy of Arts under A.I. Kuindzhi. Russian and Soviet landscape painter, graphic artist and teacher. Took part in the creation of the World of Art and the Union of Russian Artists. He painted many beautiful paintings, one of which was "The Little House with a Red Roof".
In the foreground of the picture, we see a field on which a girl is standing, in the background there is a forest, and among the trees we can see a red roof and a small piece of a house.
Basically, the color scheme is dominated by the colors of green, light green and light blue. We see a clear separation between the sky and the forest. If you look at the forest, field and grass, you can see that they are blurred and the trees and grass do not have precise outlines. But the tree in the middle is highlighted from the rest, its edges are clearly visible, the girl is drawn, perhaps for comparison, the author emphasizes to all the enormity and power of this tree. It is noticeable how the forest on the left is much lower than the forest on the right, I wonder what the author of the picture wanted to show with this?
A girl is shown on the field - this can be understood by her figure. She is dressed in a white robe and has nothing on her legs. The girl holds a rake in her hands, she calmly, slowly completes the work on collecting grass. Next to her, we see a small goat. Perhaps there is someone else in the house, but we can only guess
A small house with a red roof is lost among the trees and bushes. It appears to be made of wood, as longitudinal cuts are visible. The lower part of the house is painted white, the upper part may not be painted. Three windows are visible: one in the attic and two on the ground floor. The house has several pipes that come out of the roof. On the left you can see something brown, possibly an annex to the house. This dwelling is perfect for this type of person, such as introverts. A lonely house away from everyone, you are alone with yourself and nature. Here you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoying the amazing beauty and wonderful sounds of nature.
Presumably, this is the end of summer, as the girl is gathering grass. Time is about noon. The day is sunny, and, judging by the girl's clothes, the sun warms up well. Snow-white clouds float smoothly in the sky. The trees stand motionless, so the breeze, if there is, is very weak.
The author of this picture was a landscape painter, which means he painted a picture from a landscape. Perhaps he is standing on some kind of hillock, because when looking at the picture, you get the feeling that the girl in the field is just below the author himself, but maybe this is just an illusion.
The author managed to convey that feeling of peace and tranquility. Under such a picture, you want to think about something of your own and pleasant, forgetting all your affairs and problems.

The painting "Little House with a Red Roof" was painted in 1933 in the Moscow region. One summer, in the morning on a dacha train, he went to the Kryukovo station to see old acquaintances. There is a house, the roof of which is presented to us in red, young birch trees are blooming around. The reservoir depicted on the canvas represents a single kingdom with different popularity: green frogs basked in the sun, black snails basked and caressed each other, leeches buried themselves in silt near the coast.

Over the water itself, light dragonflies fluttered, rustling their wings. A meadow is built in front of the building. Goats grazed there, a huge snow-white rooster with chickens walked, a peasant mowed grass. The artist was happy to paint sketches, without leaving the dacha with paints and an easel. He found different compositions: the same space, depending on the time of day, lighting and angle of view, was presented differently. As a result, a wonderful head "Little House with a Red Roof" was born. There is a modest Central Russian landscape on it, from which it breathes with calmness, tenderness and warmth.

This picture is saturated with love, for a moment it seemed to me that we live in this very village, and our house also has a red roof. Involuntarily I wanted to run to my house to tell some interesting story, let my friends listen, or maybe just walk around the village. Very realistic in his landscape, the artist allows us to feel the whole mood of village life. Not only to render there, but also to visit other places unknown to our imagination.

Rylov Arkady Aleksandrovich is a wonderful Russian Soviet artist. His paintings have a strong emotional impact, evoking a sense of unaccountable joy.

Artist's life

Rylov Arkady Aleksandrovich was born in 1870 in the village of Istobensk, Oryol district. This happened on the way to Vyatka, where his parents were going. The future artist was brought up by a notary stepfather who worked in Vyatka, since his own father suffered from a mental disorder. A small quiet town and the nature around it aroused poetic feelings in the child, which were asked to capture them in colors.

After graduating from high school, at the age of 18 he went to Petersburg and entered the Central School of Technical Drawing of Baron A.L. Stieglitz, where he studied for three years. At the same time, Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich studied at the Drawing School under the Society for the Encouragement of Artists. He apparently wanted to quickly comprehend all the technical possibilities that would help him to reveal himself as a painter. But the student is unexpectedly drafted into the army. After serving in it, Rylov was accepted into. He also dreamed of learning from the brilliant innovator-experimenter A. Kuindzhi, whose name then thundered both in Russia and abroad. His "Moonlit Night on the Dnieper" (1880) made a splash among the public and caused controversial statements from fellow workers. In 1894, Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich began to study in the workshop of Arkhip Ivanovich, who was a wonderful teacher. On his own money (he spent very little on his family) A. Kuindzhi took his students to the Crimea and abroad, paid scholarships to the poor (remembering his own disastrous beginning of study). What did the training in this workshop give Rylov? He learned to create romantic holistic images, paying attention to the effects of lighting, and tried to work as much as possible in the open air, so Arkhip Ivanovich believed that nature is the most important teacher.

In 1897, he graduated from the Academy, and Rylov received the title of artist. Then Arkady Alexandrovich traveled abroad, having visited Germany, France and Austria. He meets the beginning of the new century with a mature landscape painter. Near Vyatka and St. Petersburg, he painted a lot of sketches and devoted two years to work on the painting "Green Noise" (1904).

Landscape element

This work of a young but already experienced master can now be admired in the Russian Museum.

In the foreground is a green hillock descending to an incredible winding blue river. On it, under strong gusts of wind, green crowns of white birches, old and young, flutter. Above them, cumulus white clouds with blue shadows run across the blue sky. Color combinations of color are saturated. Only the old pine with a thick trunk stands steadily, giving the composition a balance. In the gap between the trees - an immense distance. This achieves the dynamism of the solution of the space. Three white triangles can be seen on the river. Are these boats of fishermen? The viewer comes to the joy of belonging to the landscape opened for him by the painter, and he sees the wonderful moments of life.

Further work

Paying attention to Rylov's pedagogical talents, he was invited to teach an animalistic class (1902 - 1918) at the Drawing School under the Society for the Encouragement of Artists. This is how the work of the painter and teacher was combined by Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich, whose biography we are setting out. In it, the painter made a real living corner where squirrels, monkeys, hares, birds lived. There were even two anthills. Isn't that interesting? A beautiful self-portrait with a squirrel has already been placed at the beginning of the article, and now I want to take a look at his forest landscape.

"Forest dwellers" (1910)

In the wilderness of a forest corner, where no one is, except for a silent and motionless artist, squirrels play merrily, jumping from branch to branch. Something caught the attention of a curious animal that is in the corner on the left. He stretched out all over, froze for a moment and carefully peers.

A few more seconds, and the squirrel will again start running over the fluffy paws of the old fir trees. If we follow the direction of her gaze and mentally draw a straight line, we will see a white-breasted woodpecker with black wings, who works hard, pulling out from under the bark of the larvae on the trunk of a tree that stands on a mossy carpet. The triangular composition is created by the second squirrel sitting on the branches at the top. The color of the canvas is extremely saturated with all shades of green and the contrasting red summer skins of cheerful animals.

After the revolution

The artist supported the power of the Soviets and was a member of the Art Association of the AHRR, participated in exhibitions of revolutionary artists. In memory of A. Kuindzhi, a society was created in which Rylov was not only the founder, but also the chairman. The painter received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1935. Recognized by the authorities and the people, Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich, whose brief biography in our article comes to an end, died in Leningrad in 1939.

"Field mountain ash"

So Arkady Alexandrovich called a modest landscape, painted in 1922.

The diagonal is set by a quiet ultramarine clean stream. Thin openwork branches of a birch tree peep out on the left. In the foreground is a lawn overgrown with yellow tansy with dark green leaves and dense umbrellas of white flowers smelling of honey. Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich found a quiet river corner. "Field Rowan" became a song to the world that came after the wars that shook the country. No human has ever set foot here. High dense grass is not crushed, bushes stand quietly along the steep banks of the river, behind which again, as the artist loves, immense Russian spacious and free distances come off, where one breathes deeply and calmly. The horizon is obscured by a barely visible strip of bluish-green forest. In the field beyond the river, trees that have grown from the felling are huddled together. There is a rick next to it. The first mowing took place there. Above the classic compositional triangle, which forms the river and the far field, fluffy white clouds froze in the windless sky, through which the azure can be seen here and there. This is a favorite Central Russian landscape that is dear to heart and soul. Its emotional impact is great. He strengthens his love for such a simple native nature and, in general, for his small homeland. Shows the hidden corners of Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich. "Field Rowan" - an essay that is taught to write in school, then, with age, will lead to your own vision of the discreet beauty of the Russian expanse.

"Little House with a Red Roof" (1933)

The dominant feature of the landscape is two birch trees, huge to the sky, standing exactly in the center of the picture, and the majestic summer blue sky with snow-white clouds occupying two-thirds of the canvas.

Next to them, not trying to compete, a corner of a coniferous forest peeps out to the left. The abundance of all shades of green that the artist found on his palette on this sultry summer day is striking: a greenish-yellow color of a mown meadow, a dark green forest, joyful fresh greens of birches, light green - bushes and fruit trees at the foot of the forest and closing a cozy house on the other side of the canvas. Arkady Aleksandrovich Rylov sang a magnificent song at the top of summer. A house with a red roof, white pipes and whitewashed walls, excites the imagination: who created this beauty and who was lucky enough to live in it. We see one character, a charming woman in a white dress, who slowly removes hay. Joy - this is the definition that bring all the paintings that were written by Rylov Arkady Alexandrovich, a landscape painter.

The most famous painting

The painting "In the Blue Space" (1918) fascinates and bewitches once and for all. A flock of swans in the sky, the blue sea with a sailboat are calling for a romantic distance.

The artist painted it in cold gray Petrograd, where there was not even firewood to heat the room. But the picture is full of bright light, delight, jubilation. For the viewer, it evokes a slight euphoria, turning into amazement at the author's skill.

Green Lace (1928)

The painter slightly reveals a gentle green meadow in a spring forest to the viewer.

On the left it is bordered by a dense forest, but for us it peeps through delicate, fragile, graceful bushes covered with whitish greenery. There are no sharp contrasts in the color combination. Their relationships are smooth and natural. The airiness that permeates the image, caresses the eye and makes you wonder how you can keep such a beautiful place untouched and virgin. I would like to save him from the rough touches of a person and, with a sinking heart, endlessly admire the splendor of nature, with such skill transferred to the canvas.

In a fairy tale - "Wilderness" (1920)

Now the multifaceted talent of the painter has led us to the witching forest lake.

Its dark, green waters, surrounded by a mysterious forest along the coast, where the goblin live, where the witch lives, do not frighten, but fascinate. Arkady Alexandrovich Rylov himself is a magician and a sorcerer, since he found this hidden place from everyone. The lake, which occupies a third of the picture, comes close to the frame, and on the opposite shore it is overgrown with sedge and moss. Bare roots and the remains of whitening trunks that have fallen into the black waters are visible. The feeling of expectation does not leave that someone should now go out to the water and sit down, thinking in sadness. Masterfully, as in all his landscapes, the artist uses green, collecting all its shades on the canvas. The painting leads to ancient Russia, where there has always been a place for a sorcerer and a miracle worker who can save from grief and sorrow with his powerful knowledge. The work awakens a fantasy that has disappeared in the hustle and bustle of city life.

Arkady Aleksandrovich Rylov left us an invaluable inheritance - his soul embodied in canvases.
