Introduction

annotated bibliography

The purpose of this test is to acquire skills in competent work with bibliographic materials (sources, documents), knowledge of the basics of heuristics in bibliography, the ability to competently compile bibliographic descriptions and annotations.

In this test, theoretical material on the subject of "bibliography" is presented, as well as an annotated bibliographic list of references. To compile the list, the selection of works was carried out according to the criterion "publishing house", in this work - books of the publishing house "ART-RODNIK".

The materials used, as well as those that served to write the test, were taken from the funds of the Russian State Library (formerly the State Library of the USSR named after V.I. Lenin).

1. Theory of bibliography

Culturally and historically, the concept of "bibliography" appears at a certain stage in the formation of information activity, when the need for the purposeful development of this most important sphere of social activity and culture is realized.

There are four main historical periods in the bibliography:

ü The first period - the emergence of bibliography in Ancient Greece as a book writing, the work of a book writer-bibliographer. 5th century BC;

ü Second period - bibliography as a generalizing science of books and book business, a separate literary genre (XVII - XVIII centuries);

ü The third period - the emergence of bibliography as a special science of the bibliological cycle. Late 19th - early 20th centuries;

ü The fourth period (modern) - bibliography is becoming a special area of \u200b\u200bbook and information science with its own discipline - bibliography. XX century.

At the present stage, it was in our country that the concept was introduced to denote the science of bibliography - "bibliography". The designation of bibliographic science was included in GOST 16448 - 70 "Bibliography terms and definitions", as well as repeated in the new edition of GOST 7.0 - 77. In 1984, a textbook for universities was first published under the title "Bibliography. General course ".

1.1 Basic function and principles of bibliography

The definition of the social essence of bibliography is associated, first of all, with the clarification of the social purpose of bibliography, its public purpose as an activity in general. Today the term "public function of bibliography" is widely used, understanding it as the goal that bibliography carries out in the system of informational activity.

Governance is such a defining social function of bibliography. According to GOST 7.0 - 77: "Bibliography is the field of scientific and practical activities for the preparation and delivery of bibliographic information to consumers in order to influence the use of printed works in society." Based on the main social function of bibliography, the following definition can be proposed: bibliography is an area of \u200b\u200binformation activity, the main social function of which is to manage the process of creating, distributing, storing and using social information in society.

This approach is due to a complex differentiated spiritual process of reflection and development in public consciousness and practice of social information materialized in documents of various kinds. Hence, three main particular functions of bibliography follow: signal (the moment of the availability and appearance of new information), evaluative (verification and adaptation of new information in the knowledge system), recommendatory (use of social information by selecting the optimal conditions for its development by the consumer).

Along with the social functions of bibliography, the basic principles are of a similar nature. Previously, three basic principles were distinguished: partisanship, scientific nature and nationality; where the defining vectors was the idea that the subject carries. In this case, it is consistency and an inalienable connection with scientific activity, as well as the public benefit of bibliography. Today, due to the breadth of coverage of the information space, the bibliography also carries such principles as: activity, communication and consistency. These principles imply the main tasks of bibliography in modern informational conditions - mobility, assimilation and processing of large volumes of information, connectivity and accessibility in a common information environment, universality and a single form of "recording" information.

1.2 Subject and object of bibliography

The peculiarity of the object of bibliography lies in the fact that it already appears in a certain way of idealization - sign systems for reproducing social information. The bibliography is included in the system of information activities, or - the system of book making, tk. it is on him that its governing influence is directed.

Book business is a sphere of spiritual social activity (culture), the main function of which is informational communication (communication), through the production, distribution, storage and use of books (works, documents, publications).

Thus, it can be argued that the object of bibliography is the book business as a process of information communication, taking into account both social information and the book as a way of existence and use of this information in society.

The subject of bibliography can be classified as a result - bibliographic information and "bibliographic book". More precisely, a subject can include not only the information itself, but also the actual bibliographic activity. Therefore, the subject of bibliography is bibliographic knowledge.

2. Bibliographic search

Bibliographic search is an information search (selection of bibliographic documents) from among those identified for the purpose of their subsequent bibliographic processing (recording), carried out on the basis of bibliographic data. In bibliography, there are three main purposes of information retrieval:

1. Searching for the necessary information about the source and establishing its presence in the system of other sources. It is carried out by searching for bibliographic information and bibliographic aids (information publications), specially created for more efficient search and use of information (literature, books).

2. Search for information sources themselves (documents and publications) that contain or may contain the necessary information.

Search for factual information contained in literature, a book, for example, about historical facts and events, about the technical characteristics of machines and processes, about the properties of substances and materials, about biographical data from the life and work of a writer, scientist, etc.

Bibliographic search methods:

Continuous method With the continuous method, the bibliographer, in order to accomplish the task at hand, examines completely and without gaps all the available manuals and sources ...

Selective method. A more rational and realistic way of searching for literature is the selective method, i.e. "Boundedly solid". In the literature, it is also often called the "episodic method"

Intuitive method. An individual approach to finding the necessary sources on the basis of an assumption or basic knowledge, taking into account the specification of a certain type (author of works, genre, publisher).

Typological (prescription) method. In any case, the typological (recipe) method reflects in itself and introduces into the process of information retrieval a certain rational principle and orderliness. At the same time, he shows the importance of the starting point, the starting point of this complex process. It can be chosen on the basis of intuition, and on the basis of conscious, purposeful thinking, a working hypothesis, a recipe.

Inductive method. The general conclusion about the presence of the sought-for sources (factual information) on the issue of interest in this case is made on the basis of the study of all single sources.

Deductive method. Opposite to the inductive method, it is done on the basis of specific single sources.

"By climbing from the abstract to the concrete."

After the bibliographic search has been completed, it is necessary to proceed with the selection of the found works (publications) for further compilation of the bibliographic description.

3. Bibliographic description

A bibliographic description (hereinafter - BO) is a part of a bibliographic record *, a set of bibliographic information about a document, given according to certain rules that establish the order of areas and elements and are intended for its identification and general characteristics. BO is a bibliographic model of a document, designed as a system of interrelated elements with preceding identifying punctuation. Earlier the terms “catalography”, “bibliogram”, etc. were used for a similar concept. BOs appeared almost simultaneously with the book in the library catalogs of the oldest libraries and often represented the first lines of works that at that time served as the title, sometimes the name of the author and his occupation.

The main purpose of a bibliographic description is to identify a publication in the system of others.

There are the following types of bibliographic description:

ü Monographic - means the description of one document;

ü Consolidated - description of a multivolume or serial document;

ü Analytical is a description of any component of the document;

ü Brief - is a description of only the mandatory elements of a specific document;

ü Extended - here there is a description of the required elements, as well as one or more optional;

ü Complete - description of the required element and all possible optional elements;

ü Combined - a description that is performed with different publications of the same document - reprints, translations, etc. and / or other related documents - reviews, abstracts, etc .;

Drawing up annotations and reviews develops critical thinking, the ability to generalize, analyze. Skillfully written annotations and reviews allow readers to save time and make the most conscious choice of literature.

Annotation is a summary of the content of an article, book, monograph, etc. The annotation reveals the most essential of all the content and explains the purpose of the work.

Types and types of annotations, depending on the object of annotation, annotations are divided into general, analytical and group. The general annotation characterizes the print works as a whole. Analytical - characterizes a separate part of the work or a certain aspect of its content. A group annotation is a generalized description of two or more works with similar topics.

In accordance with the intended purpose, two types of annotations are distinguished - reference and advisory. The purpose of the reference annotation is to give brief information (reference) about the content and specifics of the print work. Such annotations are made to characterize scientific, educational, reference publications, as well as to disclose the content of collections and collected works. The volume of reference annotations varies - from a few words to several lines. Reference annotations are used in scientific aids, bibliographic indexes addressed to specialists.

The recommendatory annotation, along with brief information about the printed work, pursues other goals: to interest the reader, to show the meaning and specifics of this book or the article, its place among others, similar in content and purpose. The main distinguishing feature of the recommendatory annotation is its pedagogical orientation; characterizes works that correspond to the level of training, age and other characteristics of readers. Recommended annotations are short and detailed. They are compiled for reference books in order to promote popular science, mass production publications, as well as works of fiction.

The annotation plan includes:

1. Bibliographic description of the work.

2. List the main problems raised in the work.

Actions when writing an annotation can be as follows:

1. Break the text into semantic parts.

2. Highlight the main idea in each part, indicate it with a sentence borrowed from the text.

3. State the main point in your own words.

4. List the main thoughts, problems raised by the author, his conclusions, proposals.

5. Determine the value of the work.

For example: I.Unt. Individualization and differentiation of training. - M .: Pedagogy, 1990.

The author of the book in a popular form examines the pedagogical and psychological problems of individualization, various forms of differentiation of teaching. An original methodology of individualized intraclass educational work at school is proposed. Particular attention is paid to in-depth study of individual subjects, the massive use of workbooks for students' independent work.

Annotation structure

The set of elements in the annotation depends on the completeness of the bibliographic description, on the specific tasks and the reader's address of the prepared bibliographic information, on the type of the annotation itself, etc.

In the reference annotation, such elements as clarification of the title, additional (mainly factual) information about the author, about the chronological coverage of the material, as well as about the form, content, genre, purpose and structure of the publication and other features of the print work that are absent in the bibliographic description are possible.

Information about the author, scientific value and artistic level of works, about the target and readership, about the content, showing the characteristics of the work - all these elements are organically combined in a recommendatory annotation. Information about the author includes the main dates of his life and work, a brief description of the era in which the author lived, and his socio-political views. Sometimes the profession of the author is indicated, data on the popularity of his work are given. Information about the history of creation or publication of a work, about the time and place of writing, about a fact or event considered in it are interesting for readers. In a number of cases, the sources that served as the basis for the creation of the work are characterized.

The characteristic of the scientific and artistic value of the work includes information about the social significance of the book. The abstract may contain links to critical articles and reviews. Sometimes the reviews of scientists and cultural figures are given.

A brief description of the content of the work is the main element. The annotation explains the title of the work, the topic, focuses on the issues that are in the center of the author's attention, informs about the events and persons acting in the work, notes the features of this work, its difference from others close on the topic.

Characterization of the structure of the publication and the form of presentation of the material allows the reader to focus on the features of the construction of the work, which are important for the disclosure of its problems.

In annotations for educational, reference, popular science publications, instead of describing the content of the sections, you can simply list them.

When characterizing the form of presentation of the material, it should be noted how it is presented - in detail or concisely, popular or scientific, lively, exciting or, conversely, dry. The literary form of the work is indicated.

Methodological advice is designed to help in the study and use of printed works, determine the reading system in the study of a topic, establish the sequence of studying the issues of the topic.

Information about the intended purpose and reader's purpose allows the reader to draw a conclusion about the specific use of the work in scientific or industrial activities, educational work or in self-education. In some cases, the reader's address is named accurately, in others it is formulated very broadly.

Characteristics of the art-printing and editorial-publishing design of the book includes data on the number and type of illustrations, the presence of diagrams, drawings; about illustrators; about the printing performance. In addition, the annotations indicate the presence of elements of the scientific and reference apparatus, the list of references.

The main stages of annotation

The annotation process can be divided into several stages: analysis of the text of the work; study of additional sources; selection of information characterizing the essence of a given work; literary design and annotation editing.

Analysis of the text of the work. First of all, the type of publication is determined (mono edition, collection, part of a multivolume or serial edition). It is established which issue, topic or field of science the work is devoted to. Attention is paid to the structure of the publication, the principles of grouping the material are revealed.

Analysis of the presentation of the material helps in determining the reader's address. To this end, he studies how fully, accessible and clearly the questions are presented.

The analysis notes the features of the printing performance and editorial and publishing design, in particular the presence of elements of the scientific and reference apparatus. In addition to the text of the work itself, the bibliographer looks at the preface, introductory article, and notes. If the information is insufficient, you should turn to additional sources.

Study of additional sources. Such sources can be reviews, critical articles, critical biographical, historical and literary works. You can identify these sources using reference and bibliographic publications.

Selection of information characterizing the given work. When annotating works created in past eras, they provide factual data about the author, characterize the ideological, scientific and artistic value of his works, as well as the conditions in which they were written. When annotating contemporary works, bibliographers should be objective and should not rely solely on personal impressions. Quoting is a very common annotation technique. In one case, the words of the author are quoted, in the other - the character, in the third - the response of a scientist, critic, eyewitness of events, memories of contemporaries.

Literary design and annotation editing. Laconicism is the hallmark of a literary annotation. The task is to combine disparate information, while highlighting the most essential, the main thing. For example, in order to draw the reader's attention to a specific book, at the very beginning of the recommendatory annotation they report an interesting fact (events) or emphasize the importance of this work among others, similar in content.

All bibliographic processes are organically interrelated, some are based on the results of others, and these, in turn, are the basis for subsequent operations. So, without the process of bibliographic identification and search, bibliographic analysis is impossible, and without it, the selection of printed works; without compiling bibliographic descriptions and annotations, it is impossible to carry out bibliographic grouping, and without it - to develop even the simplest scheme for organizing bibliographic information, etc. The bibliographer must be creative in carrying out all these processes.

How to write a review?

A review is an evaluative critical analysis of a work (books, articles, abstracts, term papers, thesis, etc.). In the review, the main thing is a brief objective reproduction of the views of the author of the work and a detailed scientifically grounded attitude of the reviewer to the main ideas of the author, their interpretation in accordance with the views and beliefs of the reviewer.

The structure of the review may vary. In one case, the reviewer, having consistently stated the author's positions, gives an overall assessment of the work as a whole. In another, presenting the author's ideas, he expresses his attitude, gives a critical assessment.

Actions when writing a review:

1. Determine the relevance of the work.

2. Determine the degree of novelty raised in the robot problems.

3. Highlight points that are critical.

4. Formulate the questions not sufficiently covered in the work.

5. Point out the shortcomings, shortcomings in the work.

6. Determine the practical meaning of the job.

For instance:

REFERENCES for the diploma work of the graduate of the 252 group of FIA Alekseeva T.I. "The use of personal individualization in teaching foreign language communication in the 7th grade." Reviewer Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ivanova N.V.

“Graduation work of T.I. Alekseeva. is devoted to one of the least studied problems in the methodology of teaching foreign languages \u200b\u200b- the problem of individualization of teaching foreign language communication in secondary school.

Based on the study of a sufficiently large volume of scientific and pedagogical literature in the diploma work, the results of pedagogical and methodological research on the problem of individualization of education are summarized. Divorced the concepts of "individual approach", "individualization", "differentiation" of training.

The psychological theory of individualization, developed in the works of psychologists S.L. Rubinstein, A.N. Leontiev, B.G. Ananyev, methodists E.I. Passova, V.P. Kuzovleva.

T.I. Alekseeva proceeds from ideas about the structure of individuality, including individual, subjective and personal substructures.

The undoubted advantage of the thesis is the MHC program developed by the author for a group of 7th grade students, the collection of material for the MHC was carried out on the basis of a variety of psychological and pedagogical research methods, which indicates the author's possession of the methodology of scientific and pedagogical research. The experimental training carried out by the author, built taking into account personal individualization on the basis of the MHC on the topic "Sport", confirmed the hypothesis put forward.

However, the interpretation of the results obtained raises a number of doubts. Summarizing the results of the experimental work, the author states that "the use of personal individualization contributes to an increase in the quality indicators of speech," while quantitative shifts in such criteria as literacy, the number of sentences and purposefulness are very insignificant, and can hardly be the basis for such withdrawal. It seems that the main effect of personality-oriented learning is to increase the motivational aspect of speech behavior, to activate the speech-thinking activity of students. Therefore, it was necessary to pay more attention to a qualitative analysis of the results of the experimental work.

In general, the work meets the requirements for graduation theses. "

1. INTRODUCTION

The purpose of the test is to demonstrate competence in the following matters:

Purpose, types, rules and features of the use of bibliographic records and bibliographic descriptions;

Methods of bibliographic search and selection, bibliographic systematization and annotation;

Practical compilation of an annotated bibliographic list.

In preparation for the test, the current system of standards for information, librarianship and publishing in Russia was studied, as well as a set of manuals for state, scientific, auxiliary and recommendatory bibliography, and in particular that part of it, which sets out the main methodological issues of compiling an annotated bibliographic list.

This test is devoted to the preparation of an annotated bibliographic list, including literature about the native land. The bibliography of local lore is characterized by a variety of topics, offers landmarks that allow us to look into the past of our native land, highlight the pressing problems of our time.

As a source base, we used the assortment of local lore from the library at the place of work, that is, the collective library of the editorial office of the newspaper "Kuibyshevsky Railroad".

Prior to this work, the editorial staff did not have a clear list (catalog) that would allow them to analyze the presence and content of local history sources available in the editorial library. The prepared annotated bibliographic list will help the creative team of the editorial office to freely navigate the local history literature of the editorial library.

The control work construction algorithm consists of sequential processes.

In the subsections "Information search" and "Bibliographic selection" the object and subject, methods and possible typical search schemes will be determined; the limitations and main features of the selection of publications according to the variant of the test work are formulated, the library fund is analyzed.

The subsection "Bibliographic Description" presents the features and main types of bibliographic descriptions used in the process of performing the test.

The subsection "Annotation" describes the process of annotating selected publications, the main types of annotations used and the peculiarities of their compilation.

In the subsection "Bibliographic grouping" the author describes the features, main features and types of bibliographic systematization used in the compiled bibliographic list.

In the conclusion, the result of the work done is presented - the desired annotated bibliographic list. At the same time, the following definition is embedded in this concept: a bibliographic list is a bibliographic manual of an enumerative (brown) character, in which bibliographic records are systematized according to any one attribute (alphabetical, chronological, thematic, etc.).

2. MAIN PART

2.1 Information search

2.1.1 Formulation of the search problem

We define the content of the work. In this case, it is necessary to prepare an annotated bibliographic list of literature stored in the funds of the library of the editorial office of the newspaper "Kuibyshevsky Railroad". The scope of the test work limits the area and features of the literature of interest to us - this is literature about the native land. Thus, the purpose of the search is basic documents and publications on local history issues.

2.1.2 Information Retrieval Program

In the search work program, we will try to specify the task as much as possible, which will contribute to greater focus, depth, comprehensiveness, methodological rationalization and efficiency of information search.

OBJECT OF SEARCH - funds of the library of the editorial office of the newspaper "Kuibyshevsky Railroad".

SUBJECT OF SEARCH - information sources (literature) on local history of the Samara region.

SEARCH TYPES:

a) thematic bibliographic search, carried out on the basis of bibliographic data (clarification of the bibliographic description);

b) documentary search;

c) factual search.

SEARCH RESTRICTIONS:

a) thematic - only on the issues of local history of the Samara region;

b) chronological - retrospective search for the period from the beginning of the XIX century. Until now;

c) linguistic - editions in Russian only (including translations);

d) typological - the list should reflect, if possible, all the main types of publications (monographs, collections, reference books, bibliographic manuals, magazines, newspapers, individual articles from them, etc.);

e) geographical coverage - regional geographic search, i.e. information sources published in our country (not excluding publications translated from foreign languages).

f) completeness of search - selective search, i.e. the most notable editions are selected;

g) search intensity - one-time, i.e. specially for real work;

SEARCH METHOD is dialectical, i.e. used the entire possible set of existing methods of bibliographic heuristics. These include:

Solid method - all the availability of manuals and sources available in the library fund is examined completely and without omissions. In this case, it is realistic to implement it, since the entire library fund is not too large and amounts to a total of about 600 copies.

Selective method - we use the genre-specific search criterion when analyzing publications in periodicals (sources).

Intuitive method - the use of the so-called bibliographic flair. We will try to use all four main classes of intuition (according to Bunge): perception, imagination; reason and appreciation.

Typological (prescription) method - the variety of possible search tasks is generalized into a certain set of typical tasks (model). In this case, the optimal model is a bibliographic description - a set of identification information about a document.

Inductive Boolean Method - the thought is directed to some general rule (regularity) inherent in all single objects of any class. In relation to the task of control work, an approximate number of private judgments can be formulated. For example: in the Samara region, publications are published on the issues of local history; there are a number of publishers specializing in their release. Such publications are issued by the Kniga publishing house; Samara Press House, publishing house STC, editorial and publishing centers of universities and the Samara regional branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, etc.

Deductive logical method - when a new thought is deduced logically from previous thoughts, that is, the use of general provisions in the study of specific facts.

With regard to the task of control work in line with this method, the following can be stated. First, the process of searching for literature and its theory (study of local lore) as a special case (topic) are included in the content of such sciences as history, geography, archeology and their theories. Consequently, it is in the manuals (information publications) reflecting the content of these sciences that we can find the information of interest on the topic of search. Secondly, there are regional information bodies that provide information services for these areas of science. We establish that these are: the Samara regional branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the scientific publishing centers of the humanitarian Samara universities, the scientific center of the Samara Regional Museum of History and Local Lore named after Alabin, etc. Thirdly, we will determine which manuals of these organizations in general can reflect the interest we are interested in. literature. These are: popular science publications, textbooks, monographs, specialized periodicals, etc. Fourthly, by continuous or selective (using the table of contents, auxiliary indexes, etc.) study of these manuals, we can form the required list of literature on information retrieval.

Method of information retrieval by bibliographic references ... Such a bibliographic reference can be given either in the main text of the document (intra-text link), or in a footnote (at the bottom of the page) and behind-text (at the end of the main text) note, or partly in the main text, and partly in a footnote (behind-text), or in book (article) list of used (recommended) literature.

The method of climbing from the abstract to the concrete consisting of four main stages:

A. Purposeful restriction of the search only to the search for bibliographic aids, which, possibly, reflects information about the searched for sources (bibliographic search);

B. Ascent from the abstract - a set of bibliographic aids to the specific - the required literature on the issue, a bibliographic list on the topic of the search;

B. Determination of sources in which there is necessarily information of interest to us (documentary search). The role of abstractions here is played by both bibliographic descriptions of sources and these sources themselves. As a result, the required array of necessary sources on the search topic is formed;

D. Determination of the required set of factual information on a given topic (factual search) by reading and taking notes of sources. As a result, the required array of factual information is formed, or the source material for annotations.

DIFFICULTIES

The library does not have any internal catalogs and card indexes, and the subject index of the literature on the balance sheet of the editorial office available in the financial statements does not reflect the entirety of the library fund.

FORM OF PRESENTATION OF RESULTS - annotated bibliographic list.

2.2 Bibliographic selection

The bibliographic selection process was built in accordance with the restrictions adopted in the information retrieval program by subject matter, chronology, language, typology, geography, completeness and intensity of search, and consumer category (see above).

It turned out that the library fund of literature and sources on local history today totals 86 copies. Typological composition: books, brochures, periodicals and continuing publications, journalistic audio and electronic materials, unpublished materials, maps, albums, atlases, etc. Their topics are quite wide. The most fully presented topics such as nature, geography, population, environment, cultural life, history, ethnography of Samara and the province. The overwhelming majority of these are publications that were published in the second half of the 20th - early 21st centuries.

Given the formatting constraints of the test, only the most noteworthy sources on the topic were selected for a given annotated bibliography.

2.3 Bibliographic Description

Bibliographic description - a set of information about a document (its part or a group of documents), which makes it possible to identify a document, as well as get an idea of \u200b\u200bits content, reader's purpose, volume, reference apparatus, etc. The bibliographic description is the main part of the bibliographic record.

In the control work, the bibliographic description is used both in the interests of searching and selecting the necessary documents (sources), and for compiling the final annotated bibliographic list. Its objects are all types of published and unpublished documents in any media

General requirements and rules for compiling a bibliographic description of a document, its part or a group of documents: a set of areas and elements of a bibliographic description, the sequence of their location, content and method of presentation of elements, the use of prescribed punctuation and abbreviations are determined by the current GOST 7.1-2003. Formation of the title of the bibliographic record is regulated by GOST 7.80-2000.

Areas and elements are listed in the sequence established by the standard, which is presented in the table:

Name Content
1

7

Region

notes

Additional information about the description object that was not provided in other description elements. The information given in the field is borrowed from any source of information and is not enclosed in square brackets
8

Region

standard number (or its alternative) and conditions of availability

International Standard Numbers assigned to the subject of description: International Standard Book Number (ISBN) or International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), or any other international number assigned to the subject of description in due course

It is known that the elements of the bibliographic description are divided into mandatory and optional (optional). Mandatory elements contain bibliographic information to identify the document. Optional elements contain bibliographic information that provides additional information about the document.

Using only the required elements results in a short bibliographic description; mandatory and partially optional - extended bibliographic description; all possible elements - complete bibliographic description. When compiling an annotated bibliographic list, we use short and extended bibliographic descriptions.

Please note that in the bibliographic description, areas and elements are preceded by prescribed delimiters. If an element (other than the first element of the region) is repeated, the preceding prescribed punctuation mark is repeated, except for the slash mark. If the element is not given in the description, the sign prescribed for it is also omitted.

One of the options for the scheme for compiling a bibliographic description is given in the Appendix to the final part of the test.

2.4 Annotation

Annotation (from Lat. Annotatio - note, remark, mark) - a brief description of the purpose, content, type, form and other features of the document. Regulatory requirements for the preparation of annotation text for various documents and publications are set out by the interstate standard GOST 7.9-95.

When preparing an annotated bibliographic list on the topic of the test, the main function of the annotation is taken into account - the ability to establish the main content of the document, to determine its relevance.

The typology of annotations is determined by its features: functional, completeness of reflection of the content and the number of annotated editions. According to the most essential functional feature, generic annotation categories :

1) signal (reference) - clarifies the title and (or) supplements the bibliographic description with factual information;

2) evaluative - critically characterizes the content;

According to the completeness of the reflection of the content, two categories of annotations are distinguished:

1) general - characterizes the content as a whole;

2) analytical - characterizes a part or aspect of the content.

In line with the control work, we use a signal annotation of a general (and in some cases, analytical) nature.

2.5 Bibliographic grouping

Bibliographic grouping is an ordering of bibliographic records according to the similarity and / or difference in the characteristics of documents, which helps to better navigate the list, quickly find the necessary materials, and see the relationship between them.

There are three main ways of grouping:

FORMAL (simple) method provides a search for documents by their external characteristics. Has varieties:

Alphabetical grouping - in the alphabet of authors and titles of works (if the author is not specified, or there are more than three authors). In the first place are legislative materials. Foreign sources are placed alphabetically after the list of all sources in the language of work. The records are located when the first words coincide in alphabetical order, the second, etc .; with several works of one author - in alphabetical order. Works by one author - in reverse chronological order.

By chapters of monographic work - first - general literature, then materials related to a particular chapter in alphabetical or chronological order.

Systematic grouping - on individual branches of knowledge, issues and topics in their logical subordination.

Chronological grouping - by the date of publication of the publication (publication) in direct or reverse chronology, or by the chronology of reflected events.

Typological grouping (by types and types of documents) - not always rational, because makes it difficult to work with the list, but it is allowed in a personal list or in a list of historical subjects.

Grouping by place of publication .

Mixed grouping - the sources are arranged in the numbered order in which references are made to them in the text of the work. The link between bibliographic records and the main text is established using the sequence number of the quotation.

Group of regulations - acts are placed at the beginning of bibliographic lists and are arranged in legal force (equal in legal force - by the date of adoption:

1. International regulations

2. Constitution

3. Federal constitutional laws

4. Decisions of the Constitutional Court

6. Federal laws

8. Decrees of the President

9. Acts of the Government (first decisions, followed by orders)

10. Acts of the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts

11. Normative acts of ministries and departments (hierarchy: decisions, orders, orders, letters)

12. Regional regulations (in the same order as Russian ones)

14. SNiPs, SP, ENIRs, VNIRs, etc.

The CONTENT (subject) method is based on the subject of documents and can have a different character of structure construction: enumeration, hierarchical or integral. At the same time, the same work, often devoted to several topics (questions), can be reflected in different subject headings of the manual, for which a special reference system is used. Distinguish:

Thematic grouping - the material is arranged in a logical sequence by topic with a large volume of records. Within thematic headings, the material is grouped in the alphabet of authors and titles (if there are no authors).

Personal grouping - material dedicated to a certain person (his works, letters, literature about him) is located in a "personal nest".

Regional grouping - records are combined into regional headings, the sequence of which is determined by the administrative-territorial division or in the alphabet of geographical names. Typical for economic, geographical and historical bibliographic lists.

The RECOMMENDED (subject-value) method is used when it is necessary to take into account the novelty, value and usefulness of the recommended information, the socio-psychological qualities of specific consumers, their ability to effectively master the proposed list of literature.

When compiling an annotated bibliographic list on the topic of the control, a formal grouping method is used. Sources in the list will be presented in alphabetical order using a typological principle.

3. FINAL PART

When compiling an annotated bibliographic list on the topic of the test, special attention was paid to the rules of punctuation and spelling in the bibliographic record established by the standards in force in the bibliography. In addition, the requirements for abbreviations and omissions in the elements of the bibliographic record were taken into account. When preparing the annotated bibliographic list, both single-level and multi-level bibliographic descriptions were used. The list is not numbered, since in this case it is not used as an applied system of bibliographic references.
